that is exactly what happend to me i was terrified of all spiders until i held a g rosea the next day i bought one then 2 then three then......you catch my drift. Now im completly hooked lol:)

Dean if you follow Scarab's advice exactly, you'll avoid even that little flicking that your parahybana does...

Hi Visser, I presume that your brother's cambridgei is also an agressive feeder. I don't have experience with any other specimens other than my own female, but it is starting to look like most of them share the same temperament.

Your assumption is correct. It is extremely aggressive towards prey. It literally takcles them and goes ass over in the process. Very cool to watch.

i have just had my missus holding my 2 roseas for the first time and shes terrified of tarantulas she loved it and did not want to put them back the way i see it is if you do not show them fear then they are mutch more relaxed. i handle all my ts on a regular basis and i think they like it. if they didnt im prety sure you would be the first to know about it .most ts are more scared of us than we are of them just show them a bit of respect and ull be fine. well thats what i think . so far as for my salmon pink the reason she flicks is that she has never been handled once shes been on you for 5 10 mins shes quite relaxed and will wander around at her own accord

i agree completely slower with more confidence is mutch better but its human nature to be scared of ts but the thing is a chiuahua could inflict more pain in 5 mins than a l paraybana once you your self get past the fear the t will be quite relaxed and you can enjoy the soft nature of most ts (not all)

whats the point of having them then if you cant handle them . it would be more cost affective to just go to the pet shop once a week for a quick look. its a pet at the end of the day so just go for it whats the worst that could happen a bee sting ? unless ure alergic but i think some ts should be handled as that is the point of owning them (this is just my view many people will disagree but the way i see it is you dont buy a dog and put it in a cage because it might bite you. you get a pet to enjoy it ) enjoy
