I got a beautiful very healthy 12cm Nhandu chromatus female.
She apparently moulted about 2 weeks befor i got her.
The 1st week i got her she eat 2 dubia and then second week 2 crickets, now she has not eaten for about 3weeks... my T room is 17.5 to 20 degrees in winter. i spoke to the person who i bought it from and they said it has never experienced temps lower than 26.. so iv moved my cage closer to the heater and its about 24-27 been at that temp for 2days now and still not eating, iv ever had a T not eat before for this amount of time... kinda worried or is this normal for this species?
stubstate is dry, got a big water dish, and a hide for it.

It's probably in premolt, My Nhandu chromatus molts about every 4 weeks or so and its about 8-9cm now so I wouldn't be to worried if I were you.

You shouldn't be worried, my nhandu is a savage beast that eats like a monster in the summer but during winter she eats about once every 4 weeks. She also once had about a 6 week long pre-moult fast.

The n.chromatus are pretty tough i think, check her behavior if your female starts hanging out at her water dish then you know its time for a moult

Hey spinnerkop. Don't worry to much. Spiders will be less active during winter, even with extra heat and won't eat as much. It could be in Premoult as everyone else suggests. I have a Curly that hasn't eaten in two months since hes moulted 0_0 and he is still going strong so don't worry to much.
My N. Chromatus never wants to eat except when the roaches head has been crushed and I have to leave the Room. How nervous is yours? Mine never flicks hairs but will run for cover as soon as I open the door to my Spider Room.

Will a 12cm T eat dead food like a sling?

Hey all, Im very sure she is not in pre moult almost 100% sure... she is still very active thou and is skittish and aggresive... so even with a heated room they dont eat as much in winter is this true??
