Hi guys,

I know its not the most accurate method of sexing but anyone care to have a guess at what you believe this could be.
I know that pics aren't too clear but it's the best I could get from 30 attempts.
Its a +/-9cm Poecilotheria faciata that hates keeping its molts intact!!

Are the containers plastic?
You would need to get better pictures but you have a 50% chance of it being a female.(I'm no expert at ventral sexing)
Use more light and the picture should come out a bit better.

Why not take the spider outside, let it get onto the grass and then take a picture of the spiders dorsal pattern, that way you can get it sexed more accurately.

I'd also lean towards male - my female at that size had a much lighter carapace and abdominal band, but still only a guess :-/
