Jakes, I've seen on tv where they actaully train there orb spiders in Japan for fighting etc ! It's a gorgeous spider. We use to have a lot of them in our back garden in the Avo tree ! (Capital Park_PTA)

We had a wonderful male and femal pair sharing a cycad here at my office a few months ago (Bryanston, JHB). I used to enjoy checking them out whenever I left the office for a smoke.

Someone, in their ignorance, destroyed them and their fantastic web since then. It's so sad that people can't leave these little unobtrusive creatures alone!
