The theme for this month's meeting is:

We will have a competition around identifying Pokies and Locals from photos and exuviums. Precise details on the competition will be shared on Saturday

Do some research and homework on the identification and you'll sure stand a good chance of winning!

Prizes for the Pokie and Local identification competition are sponsored by none other than Cerat

Disclaimer: the exuviums from the Locals belong to Ceratogyrus (who is in possession of a valid permit)

Just a few hints.
There will be a few pics of some mature males of local species. Make sure you go check out different carapace features on some Southern African species.
I will have a few aids on how to identify pokies there, so that people can learn along with the competition.

People are welcome to bring some pokie exuviums (Even if they know what species they are) to try identify. Please try bring exuviums over 7cm to make things easier.

If I can remember (this time), I shall bring my microscope and try sex whatever you have (no matter the species).

Frootbat will definitely bring at least ONE Local Baboon... :blush:
