It seems that "some" people have a lot of pent up rage. Please stop this now. This is a thread about the ban on Exotics, not a flamewar between Monalish and Rayman. You all make excellent points but I for one would only kill my tarantulas if there was no way that a zoo or conservationist could take them. I am not the most experienced in Tarantula keeping but I do apreciate the local species. Yes, the internet may be anonynomous but we should still act civilized in this trying period. I may be new but I can see why some of the more experienced keepers left. I am glad we still have Stalker here.

Please quote the post where I flamed Monalish. I have asked questions and had a good discussion that resulted in some free tarantulas.
Was just trying to explain to Monalish that tarantulas are already illegal and that she shouldn't be so hypocritical. If that is considered flaming then I apologise.
I will not get rid of my tarantulas, but really hope that NatCon doesn't decide to take the tarantula hobby on. That being said, I understand fully where NatCon is coming from. Certain exotic tarantulas could definately become a problem if they were to escape in my opinion.

Really am getting a sense of Dejavu here though. Seems people keep on bringing the exotic/local permit thing up. Deal with it. We are all participating an an illegal hobby, nothing else to be said about it.
