I've been thinking of getting me some plants again...

And was wondering, how many people here have carnivorous plants as well?

What do you have? How do you keep them?

I had a couple of carnivorous plants, but unfortunately I neglected them and they died. I would like to start again sometime, because it's really a cool hobby!

I did some research on them and it's actually very easy to care for. Some basic rules as to not to touch them, keep them wet all the time, keep them out of the cold ect ect.

Expecting the world to treat you fairly because you are good is like expecting the bull not to charge because you are a vegetarian.

Hey I have a venus flytrap or had one it got mites and died but it wasent that hard caring for it just 3 flies a month and removing all the dead leaves and heads and if you want to water it put a dish with water on the bottom of the flower pot make sure its got the holes in the bottom and there should always be a 1cm water laing on the bottom the plant will suck it up as it needs it as for the mites well I don't know I realised them when it was too late but just go google mites there should be some info of getting rid of the thing.

I have heard that you can also give them after defrosting meat the 'bloody water' left in the bag. How true is that ??

....erm.....i can do a lot of things but most of them are not advisable!! i would sugest that you do not do that as you will be atracting VERY large numbers of vlies.....more that wat your plant needs and you should not spay any poisons in their proximity! IMO
