Hello
I have got a Grammostola pulchra sling approx 2cm that is missing L4, this afternoon i got home and what do i find, a sling that has moulted :)
Unfortunatly it is still missing the L4 limb, my question would be
does anyone know if this is normal? should the regeneration process not have started yet or will this slowly return as the T grows with size? This is the first molt in my care.

Thanks for any help :)
Regards

I assume this is most likly the reason

"I don't know other than to say that there does have to be enough time between the limb loss and the moult for the regeneration to take place"

maybe more time for this process to happen? recent loss maybe as iv only had the sling 2 weeks.

Hi Reynolds

Yes the leg will slowly grow back with each molt. I had a sling missing 2 legs, and it took it 5 molts to return to the regular other legs. As long as the sling is happy and eating. The leg will slowly develop after each molt, so you might see a smallish leg next time and before you know it, it will have all 8 :)
