Hi everybody
Is there anybody with a couple of T's or some slings that they will be willing to donate.

I have about 6 youngsters that are extremely interested in getting involved in the hobby, but cant afford to purchase a T. I will be supplying crickets as well as enclosures for these youngsters until such a time as i am comfortable that they will be able to take care of their T by themselves.

I will also pay for the postage if u are too far to collect as i am based in Gonubie.

I have also told these kids that if i supply them with a T of their own, I expect them to commit one day a week to the tarantula atlas project. www.baboonspideratlas.co.za . (Obviously with adult supervision), I will also start a blog updating with pictures and progress as we go along in support of the baboon spider atlas, with contribution from the kids themselves

Many of these children have never seen a T other than in horror movies, and when i introduced them to "BOB" , my B.Smthi , their first reaction was fear and repulsion. This made me think that the best way for us to not only increase the interest in the hobby, but also help with the conservation of these amazing creatures was to teach kids to care for them.

As mentioned, i will supply all housing as well as food for the T's. They will also remain with me until such a time as i feel that these kids are capable af giving them the much needed attention the deserve
