Hi all. I was wondering if anyone perhaps knows what this is and whether it would be safe to use in an enclosure?

Looks like a type of grass, is very soft and the points are not sharp.

We have spans of the stuff growing where I work, and a few of my friends also have it in their gardens.

Also, in the summer it is covered in webbing, especially lower down.
