A friend of mine has a mf H. lividum. She molted about 2 months ago.
I bought a mm the other day and we where thinking about breeding them.

Tho I have only been involved in spiders for a short time, he has had spiders for many years, and he raised his female from a sling. This said, he has never actually bred before either so I'm a little nervous about my boy

I have read thru the guides and I kinda know whats supposed to happen. He only molted about 2 weeks ago so he has yet to do his sperm sack.

I'm quite excited about trying to breed them, tho not so excited about the thought of my T being munched. Anyone have any tips on this?

Well Neitzchie unfortunately you have to make peace with the fact that the male is now on his way out. Mating or no mating.

I have seen H.lividum males ending up as lunch which is unfortunate. The best advice is to search for Haplopelma lividum breeding reports. Mating should be easy, but it would be nice to have a few females mated by your male, before he is toast

she is in a 25 x 25 tank so I think he should be able to make a break for it.
If he does his sperm sack then we will give it a go in the next week or two.
