For the breeders out there,

you may remember my post a little while back about my P.irminia that produced a sac but only two eggs with legs emerged living, amongst about 150 eggs. Both died unfortunately.

To my surprise last week, the same female dropped a second egg sac.

My guess is that if the first sac was such a total fertilization disaster, the second one will follow suit? Or is this not the case?

Hey HS thats crazy my female that dropped a day before yours a couple months back is currently making a sac by the looks of it aswell!
she punctured her 1st sac and I saw it a day or 2 later so I guess only time will tell with mine.

My Female did the same, first sac was a mess and went vrot sad

I think 2 months ago she started getting big again and double clutched, unfortunately 2 days later she threw the sac away :igiveup:

I think she did not web it up enough and all the fluid leaked through the sac

So my female ate her sac this morning :dry: :whistle: Guess she was not liss to be a mom again

I guarantee you that it was not fertile and because she loses alot of strength and weight dropping the sac and knows of the infertility that's why she eats it to survive. kungfu

Well, mine has not discarded or eaten her new sac as yet.

She's actually quite protective about it, so we'll have to wait and see...
