
Monocentropus balfouri (Socotra Island Blue Baboon)
Description
Females: The prevailing color on the Carapace of the female is metallic powder blue. The Carapace a lighter blue than the legs. The Femur is lite Beige with ventral brush like bristles, the rest of the legs are dark blue. The abdomen is also Beige to lite brown. The Chelicerae are blue. The spinnerets dark Beige to dark Brown.
Males: Sexual dimorphism does not apply. Males are similar to females but has a more slender appearance. The Carapace is darker blue than that of the female. The Tarsus on the Pedipalps of males become bulbous after the ultimate molt. No Tibial apophysis are visible.
