Display tarantulas

Hi all. wondering: what is your opinion on the best display tarantula? remember they had a pretty awesome one at the tarantulas.co.za stand at the expo

Agreed. Any of Pamphobeteus genus. As well as Brachypelma, Poecilotheria, Theraphosa, Thrixopelma.. and others that I can't think of right now.

That spider at the Expo was as FUGLY as it gets... I still love you Dave, but honestly, Theraphosa has nothing but size. If I had the inclination to "display" a "pretty" spider, I would probably choose Megaphobema mesomelas, Brachypelma auratum, Aphonopelma bicoloratum or Aphonopelma sp. "Flagstaff Orange".

Only jokes, theraphosa stirmi is a large brown spider and if they were to be a display spider will be simply just
be for its pure size. But Apophysis is a stunning spider and so are many pamps, even ( if you lucky enough)
a Xenesthis spec would look awesome. Problem with megaphobema is that they burrow straight to the bottom,
never to be seen again. But like I always tell people, no matter what the spider is, if you do an awesome enclosure,
it would make for an awesome display. A all natural enclosure with a bonzia a hapolopus or an euathlus spec in
would look awesome on the coffee table in your house. :laugh:
My Advice is mostly from my personal experience, but everyone is
allowed to give there own opinion.
