Greetings Guys.

Basically let me start off by saying that I'm new to the Forum, although I've been an avid reader for about 8 months, I only signed myself up today.

At the beginning of the year I received a flyer for a reptile and Tarantula show in Randburg and decided to go and have a look. I was the proud owner of a E.Guttata in my younger days before it made a jail break never to be seen again. So 8 years later I decided to go check out the reptile show. During that period I had recently come into contact with some friends who were T owners so they joined me and off we trotted. For most of my life I had been the type who avoided the 8 legged world and owning a T was never a thought I had! But needless to say I left there with one, VERY small N.Chromatus hiding in what looked like an old camera film holder. Since then I have been reading and following the advice on this website and it has helped me dearly so thank you to all blokes who've posted useful information(Uncle C, Uncle Stan, T-Rad, Creator to name just some :) )

My N.Chromatus is now about 5cm-7cm in span and is growing happily. :)

Looking forward to getting more experience and knowledge and owning some more amazing T's B)

Welcome and congrats on finally joining the forum KingPin.

Any plans on getting more T's soon? Cause you know you can't just have one!

If owning a BB, do send me a PM with your pin.

Last weekend I decided to adopt a B.Albopilosum from a friend, I think he's fully grown however(saying "he's" because its been sexed as a Male) so I guess i can say I have two T's, just need to keep the B.Albopilosum a while before it feels like mine. But I would love to get a bunch more T's

Just want to build up the necessary experience so that I can look after them properly. Maybe build some proper enclosures first too so that the T's feel they're roaming around at home :P

Welcome to the forum!
There are planty guys here with great ideas and advise on everything from basic keeping to husbandry to construction and decoration.

I too started about 8 months ago with 1 sling, today 23 T's and going strong! :woohoo: All thanks to the great guys in the hobby and of course the pure awesomeness of our 8-legged friends.

Oh, and good luck with that N.chromatus. I've read some things about them and I know mine is 11cm of pure evil.
