Inside "Applied research enclosure" 54cm x 45cm x40cm high
what does the eye not see. "Washed river sand 1cm thick at the bottom of the substrate. At the back left corner it is as deep as 4cm - covered with bags and bags and more bags of peat moss. A clear angle 5mm pipe fitting is silicone'd into the back left corner with an acrylic pipe that has cut slits in the bottom, to control humidity. The pipe at the back has a tap to open and close the piping if moisture is needed.

I hope this inspires people in the hobby.

Just my opinion but maybe it could do with a few more upright anchor points to allow more elaborate webbing.

Indeed. The pet shop I was at had a bad variety of wood decor to choose from. I am also going to a HUGE cacti nursery in Pretoria North. They have cacti from around the world and I am looking for a few specific cacti that comes from "North" Venezuela to add to the enclosure. Unfortunately Rick C.west did not do an in-depth paper on the flora of North Venezuela. I have however her on a light cycle of 7.2 - 8.2 hours per day "depending on season" as research suggests.

It's actually very funny regarding the care sheet on the C.cyaneopubescens when they refer to scrub-land / desert. The photos I have seen from Rick C.west. If I have to describe the condition to people in South Africa I would describe the area as "bush veld - red rocky earth - a few cacti almost the same as in Mexico and low growing thorn bushes.

lol. It's one damn heavy enclosure. I went with the "50 mesh stainless steel 304" strip / line ventilation instead of my circular ventilation glass hole saw vents even though I now have a 12cm diameter new hole saw, just because of the ventilation that is required according to the weather research I found online and wind speeds etc. But I promise to make food grade safe "cracked rock" framing molds for enclosures that require this sort of ventilation.

Watch the site there are loads of new enclosures that will grace the website. I never saw a more beautiful and Tarantula in so much colour in my life. She also came with her exuvium for my inspection, and indeed as clear as daylight. Tisk be a female.
