My C.fasciatum died for no reason the humidity was perfect and it had some heat. It wasn't in pre molt neither was it a fungal infection its lags wasn't curled up. I have no idea why it passed away, can some of you help ?

Sorry about your loss mate. Sometimes its just nature taking its course.
Life is not measured by how many breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

I'm really sorry for your loss ! I lost my little one exactly the same way a couple a months ago... Like Wynster said, nature takes its course. Even in captivity. It sucks !! Hopefully you will get another, as they awesome little tarantulas !!!

Sorry for your loss, Dasie! Most dead T's have their legs curled beneath them ("death curl")

Just for reference, how did you establish that the humidity was correct?

Is that the humidity that you had for the C Fasciatum or in general for all your T's?

Are you sure it was dead?
C fasciatum slings like to play dead, I've also had a scary experience with my C fasciatum sling once, I even rolled it up and down but nothing, I almost discared of it untill I remembered Snarf telling me that they like to play dead, and I left if alone for a while, and to my amasement it jumped up and ran around just a couple of minutes later.
They are sneeky buggers those guys!

I also had another experience with a C afsciatum sling were it was laying stiff as you can get with its legs stretched out, I also moved it around, but nothing. A few mintures later, it was molting.

You never know whith these guys.

Until it smells dead, or is in the death curl position, or any other definite signs of departure it is "safe" to assume that it's not dead yet.

its the humidity in witch I kept him and i am pretty sure that he would have moved in 2 days time. I did not discard him yet but i think its that time.
