MM OBT. He is very slow, I am hoping it is the cold and not "old age"

B emilia - she molted a few weeks ago. Having a snack.

I really do like all of the pics! But seriously, never mind the size of that avic, it looks awesome!

The murinus male does look a bit old and haggard but the emilia and purpurea are stunning.

When I looked in on my orange boy yesterday morning, he was still in the same position as he was in the pic above. When I touched him, he fell off the little tree onto his back and did not move. I was so sad. I made an ICU, knowing that if he is dying of old age, it won't make a difference, but thinking I'd make his last few hours as comfortable as possible. Put him in the ICU, had a shower, and when I checked on him, found him running around like a young spider! Amazing! I rehoused him into a smaller container, and put him back on the T shelf.

(p.s. - I realised after I posted the pic that I probably shouldn't have as they are "illegal", but I have him, and he is close to my heart, and will spend what little time he has left in my care.)

Nice T's Karin, especially that Avic!

A pity about the MM OBT though. I know the feeling as my MM G. rosea is on his way out. I bought him last year May as a MM at the expo. But I suppose these are the things we accept when we decide to keep T's. not all of them will be females that last a decade or two.

He hasn't moulted since I got him and has also slowed down a lot lately, whether this is the cold or not, who can tell? But he is definitely far less active and spends most of his time at the entrace to his hide. I think he's aware his time is near and he's just waiting patiently to get to T heaven.

Hopefully there he will have many females to mate with since his keeper has made him abstain while in his care!

Legalities aside, it's amazing how resilient these creatures are.

I had a male in ICU too and he made a complete recovery.

Keep it up Karin.
