Hi,

can you guys provide some info here. I saw one of these at a Petshop this weekend - beautiful tarantula!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are there people breeding this species in SA?

the one I saw was sub adult size, around R1500 and it is a female.

Is it a worthy investment? Will I be able to get a mate easily enough?

Thanks

If B smithi is anything to go by, it will be a road less traveled. They are magnificent, but I dare to say R1500 might be stiff. Although not as readily available as B vagans for example, there are a few floating, you might be able to get a male.
