Please help me to identify this "White knee"... 1 year, 6 months ago #5116

Hallo everyone

I bought this tarantula as a A. geniculata (LS 1cm) last year in a petshop in Pretoria. However, after seeing numerous specimens of this species I begin to doubt its "assigned name tag" from the petshop.

The picture you see is of the above mentioned tarantula with a legspan of about 4cm. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I personally think its a Nhandu spp., but with my limited knowledge... Only time will tell.

I would say it is a Grammostola pulchripes.

I'd also say G. pulchripes. The colours should show better after the next moult or so...

Definitely not a A. geniculata. Sorry you got screwed. Which petshop was this?

Hallo everyone

Thank you for your suggestions. I would just like to add that the picture might be a bit misleading when it comes to its "true" colour. In the picture my T came out quite brown, but it is much more black in "real life".

I awaits a molt, most probably in early spring, but then I will upload another pic again. Maybe it will be easier to identify then. What is the chances that it might be an Brazilian Black and White?

The petshop I bought it from is PETSTOP in Pretoria.
