She only dropped yesterday, so still lots of webbing, but you can just make out the eggcase in the bottom.

It was unanamously decided thet eggs with legs is not an instar,
because it hasnt molted yet! it only molts for the first time
from egg wiyh leg to 1st instar! then the second molt is into a fully formed
spiderling! there is a exception to this rule with P maranda & one or
two of the other poecis! that go to 3rd instar before they fully formed!
schults & schults are wrong with that!( like a couple things)

And a spiderling doesnt undertake a molt from egg to egg with legs!

Had a general power failure in our area for most of last night, which dropped the temps around my gravid pokies and those with eggcases. Pretty sure as a result my 1 P.regalis (which was mated with scarab's male) decided to munch on her eggs. Luckily nothing else seems to have been affected, but was hoping she would have a successful sac as this will be the last year that im breeding her.

On a side note, just got a great insertion from raven's maculata male with my female, and he survived to tell the tale.
Also just waiting for the L.violaceopes male on loan to make his sperm web, then my female will have a go with him.
And finally, for those of you that have been to my place and seen my P.rufilata that i have been so worried about, she has finally started eating again after a 4 month fast after moulting and mating. So hopefully she will get nice and fat and still give me a slim chance of possibly convincing her to drop later in the year for me.

Well after the regalis loss last week after the power failure, i pulled my 2nd regalis sac tonight from the mating between my female and raven's male. Looks like around 60 eggs, and not one of them is good. They are all in a sticky goo and all undeveloped.
P.regalis is definately turning into my bogie species.
To add to the night, the subfusca eggs still haven't developed into eggs with legs after around 5 weeks. Might just be slow, but beginning to think the worst. Will keep them till they go black or develop though.

On the bright side though, my fasciata eggs with legs moulted into 1st instars the weekend and are all looking very good.
