Breeding report.

Female: B1 adult.
Male: Snarf (Breeding loan)
Mated: 8 March 2010
Temperature (Close approximates): 32 - 36 degrees C Mid-day, 26 - 28 degrees C Sunrise.
Temperature increase: Mid August 2010.
Humidity increase : In conjunction with temperature.
Egg sac: End August 2010.

The exact date of egg sac production is not clear. The female was not seen for three weeks. I noticed that the entrance to her burrow was barricaded off with substantial webbing. Because the female was mated about the same time as that of Snarf and Raven, I decided to inspect the condition of my female. I was able to detect the egg sac because it was gaurded by the female, close to the enclosure wall.

The egg sac was removed on 5 September 2010.

Invitation.

Introduction.

Insertion.

Departure.

Six months later. Egg sac

Eggs with legs.

Rehousing mother.

It seems that this was the best year so far for the lividums.
Some years went by without any slings and now and again you heard of a few slings for sale and this year there will surely be a whole lot for sale.
FINALY I WILL ALSO HAVE A CHANCE OF OWNING ONE OR TWO OR THREE OR......TEN MAYBE..
CONGRATS TO ALL OF YOU BREEDERS AND TO THE DADDY AND MOMMAS OF THESE OFFSPRING.
The start of it all.....

I made a "starter hole" which I trust she will escavate and occupy soon. She is not a happy girl at the moment.
